Many area churches are reporting that they are not meeting in person Sunday, and likely for at least several additional weeks, because of the coronavirus emergency.
Here’s a look at plans for sermons and other information that will be available online:
• First Christian Church represntatives said the church will be streaming a message on our Facebook page at 10 a.m. each Sunday “until we can gather in person again.” Regular office hours are being maintained at the church.The office number is (937) 592-8656.
• Beginning this week at The Huntsville United Methodist Church, the congregations transitions to online worship only, with service broadcasts beginning at 10 a.m., and then archived and accessible through the church’s website and their You Tube Channel. This week, the Rev. Bryan Meadows continues the series, Twelve, with the message, Doing Time.
• Gretna Brethren Church has canceled all gatherings and activities at the church thru March 29. The church will re-evaluate at that time. Sermons are available via www.gretna.life, and the Gretna App offers various services, including online tithing.

• Jubilee Mennonite Church will not conduct services for the foreseeable future due to the COVID-19 virus. “We wish everyone health and God’s peace in these uncertain times,” church representatives said.
• The Huntsville Presbyterian Church reports worship service and all church activities are cancelled for the week of March 22. This week’s Lenten message and announcements from Pastor Ben Beres will be available on the church’s Facebook page by searching “Huntsville Presbyterian Church.” The church’s website, www.huntsvillepresbyterianchurch.com, also has links to to Facebook worship posts and other prior sermons that you many have missed.
• The Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church is closed Sunday, but a live online service will take place at 9 a.m. Pastor Ben Shaeffer presents the message “Jesus, Barabas and Pilate” based on Mark 15:1-15 CEB.
• For the well-being of participants and the community, Bethel Mennonite Church will not gather for Sunday school and worship for the next few weeks. “We are implementing ways to stay connected, offer worship materials, and provide care to those in need,” church officials said.
• Philadelphia Lutheran Church will be closed the next two Sundays, with hopes to re-open in April.
• Common Ground Church’s worship gathering will be streamed all online through the church’s Facebook page, with music and teaching, much like a “normal” Sunday, Pastor Brandon Storm said. He begins a new series, Jesus, pandemics and panic. This Sunday’s message is How would Jesus shop?
