A city man reported early Monday he was chased by a knife-wielding person in a clown costume.
Travis L. Cook, 20, said he was walking in the 500 block of west Auburn Avenue in the early morning hours Monday when he saw a group of five people congregated. One individual, reportedly dressed in a black and white clown costume, reportedly chased him with a long knife.
Domestic incidents result in charges
Brandon Robinson, 28, of 521 Hamilton St., was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct early today after a woman reported at 12:26 a.m. that he was heavily intoxicated and had assaulted her while at her 868 E. Sandusky Ave. apartment.
Mr. Robinson was located carrying a large bottle of rum and was taken into custody on a public intoxication charge. He reportedly began vomiting in the cruiser and officers stopped at Mary Rutan Hospital to have him evaluated.
The suspect continued to be disruptive at the hospital and was later jailed on the persistent disorderly charge.
• Derek A. Newell, 31, of 321 Richard Ave., was charged with criminal damaging after Leiah Lehman, 25, of West Mansfield, reported he threw a pair of pliers and shattered a window of her father’s car during an argument at 10:12 p.m. Monday at the Richard Avenue residence.
