Bar patron lodged on multiple charges
Destanny J. Couch, 40, of Columbus, was charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct related to an incident Sunday at Froggy’s at the Lake, 11065 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office who were working a security detail at the bar received a report about 4:30 p.m. about an intoxicated woman who had passed out on a chair in the pool area.
While deputies were attempting to speak with her, Couch reportedly attempted to interfere with deputies’ efforts, stating that “I’m law enforcement.” She reportedly shouted at deputies about various agencies she claimed to have worked for, and would not comply with deputies’ commands to “back off.”
She resisted efforts to place her under arrest. Deputies reported she showed signs of intoxication and continued yelling once she was inside the patrol car. She was transported to the Logan County Jail.
