A husband was charged and cited and his wife received a citation after a single vehicle crash around 4:15 p.m. Thursday on Township Road 200 east of County Road 32.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Scott Fulmer, 21, of Bellefontaine, was charge with domestic violence and cited for failure to control and no operator’s license.
Heather Puff, 26, was cited for fictitious registration.
According to crash reports, Mr. Fulmer was westbound and lost control when the car hit a patch of ice. It traveled off the right side of the road, back on and across the left side.
Mr. Fulmer initially said Ms. Puff was driving.
The car was still running and the deputy allowed the couple to remain in the vehicle to wait on a wrecker.
The deputy noted Ms. Puff had blood on both sides of her nose and called for a Bellefontaine squad.
For safety, the deputy walked from the scene to warn approaching traffic. He looked back and observed the couple get out of the car. The husband picked up Ms. Puff and slammed her to the ground.
Both claimed it was because of her panic attack.
The deputy also learned Mr. Puff was bit on the nose by the defendant after the crash. Again, she said it was because of a panic attack.
Normally, the suspect pinches her and she does not know why he bit her.
Both admitted the husband was driving while Ms. Puff acknowledged using license plates from another vehicle on her car.
