Kevin R. Walters, 47, of 118 S. Springhill St., was arrested for felony domestic violence after he alleged assaulted Ashley N. Hunsicker and her twin 17-year-old sons at 12:55 p.m. Saturday.
Hunsicker told officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department that Walters was kicking a household cat when her son, Brandon Hunsicker, intervened. Walters allegedly hit Brandon in the face. His brother, Thomas, came to his aid and Walters reportedly slammed Thomas into a wall and began to choke him.
Ashley Hunsicker said she then attempted to break up the fight and was punched in the face by Walters.
Two witnesses confirmed her account.
Brandon had a lower right tooth that was chipped in the fight and a scratch on the left side of his nose. Thomas had bruising in lower neck area.
Walters had left the residence and drove to the police department where he spoke with officers.
They noted he had a prior domestic violence conviction. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Man caught with teen girl
A 25-year-old Bellefontaine man was charged Saturday with felony unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Dylin P. Miller was lodged in jail after the mother of a 15-year-old girl came home to find her daughter in the midst of sexual conduct on Miller.
The mother told officers she had been taken to Mary Rutan Hospital by a squad after passing out late Friday. She returned home after 2 a.m. to find her daughter and the suspect on the couch.
The girl acknowledged she was not forced into the conduct.
