Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lakeview man for a felony count of rape Thursday related to incidents involving a 10-year-old boy.
James E. Putsch, 35, of 9635 Orchard Drive, was booked into the Logan County Jail about 12:41 p.m.
Deputies had been contacted by officials from the Indiana Department of Job and Family Services regarding a incidents that reportedly occurred at Putsch’s address between 2014 and 2016.
The victim’s mother had contacted Indiana authorities about the incidents.
Thursday, the defendant was asked to report to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, and after detectives interviewed him, he was placed under arrest, Logan County Sheriff Randall J. Dodds said.
Additional charges could be forthcoming, the sheriff said.
