Daniel M. Hall, 55, of 3770 Harrison St., Bellefontaine, was charged with a felony count of obstructing justice related to an incident Saturday morning at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 10:20 a.m. on behalf of the Union County Sheriff’s Office regarding a tip that Darlene J. Lansing, 52, had been living at that trailer. She reportedly had an outstanding Union County felony warrant for non-support of dependents.
When they arrived, deputies were met by Hall, who told deputies that while he and Lansing have children together, he had not seen her in some time. Deputies noted that Hall seemed nervous as they were speaking with him, as he would not look them in the eye.
Deputies requested to look for Lansing inside the residence, and he asked to be able to first put his dog away. Once Hall finally came back outside, he let deputies inside the trailer.
He told them that in one particular room his son was sleeping.
When deputies entered that room, they did find his son in bed, and also located Lansing concealed under a blanket in the bed.
Both Hall and Lansing were placed under arrest. Hall also was charged with falsification and was lodged in the Logan County Jail. Custody of Lansing was transferred to Union County deputies.
