BANGO |
Emilio G. Bango, 36, of 208 Chase Ave., Russells Point, was charged with domestic violence following an incident early this morning at his address.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence about 3:20 a.m. in reference to Bango being intoxicated and causing issues at the home.
Deputies and officers of the Washington Township Police Department already had been at the residence that evening dealing with the defendant, who previously had agreed to leave the home.
Talya R. Barnes, 34, said during a confrontation, Bango had gotten in her face and grabbed her by the hair, pulling her to the ground. She said her son separated them, and then she was able to get her children in the house and call 911.
When speaking with deputies, the defendant claimed that Barnes had fired a gun in the air during their argument outside. However, upon searching the area for the firearm or shell casing and also speaking with the others present during the altercation, deputies did not find any evidence that a gun had been used by Barnes.
Bango was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
