James McMillion, 25, of 1600 S. Detroit St., Apt. 12, was charged Monday with assault and criminal damaging.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence around 7:30 p.m. and talked with Thomas Drake of Bellefontaine who had dropped Ashton Richey and Destiny Hartline at a neighboring apartment.
Drake said McMillion approached his car, kicked a door and ran a rock down the driver’s side window and door, damaging the paint.
Drake exited his car and the suspect allegedly hit him in the face with the rock. Officers observed visible injuries to Drake’s face.
Richey and Hartline corroborated Drake’s account and the suspect admitted hitting the victim several times as he was angry over personal issues with the victim.
The suspect was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
