A Lakeview man was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, menacing and persistent disorderly conduct after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in the 300 block of east Sandusky Avenue.
Curtis D. King, 33, of 11539 Tecumseh Path, also was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead, failure to reinstate his license and no operator’s license.
Around 11:45 p.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department arrived on the scene to see the suspect lying in the road surrounded by other people.
He was stumbling after he was helped to his feet and led to a Bellefontaine squad.
He repeated threats toward squad members, Mary Rutan Hospital emergency room staff and deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office who responded to the hospital to assist.
After his release, he was taken to the Logan County Jail and placed in a restraint chair. His breathalyzer sample was 0.238, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08.
His westbound car hit the rear of a car operated by Jenna M. Aldo, 22, of Bellefontaine.
