A Lakeview man was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and domestic violence after a Friday evening incident that began near Lakeview and ended in West Liberty, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies were called at 3:39 p.m. to assist Washington Township Police Chief Rick Core on a domestic violence call at 8890 Township Road 239, lot 57. When they arrived, the alleged assailant, Jason Rockhold, 32, had left the residence in a motor vehicle.
Deputies immediately issued a “be on the lookout” alert for the suspect vehicle, which was spotted by another deputy patrolling north of West Liberty. The vehicle was stopped in West Liberty and the deputy noticed the driver appeared to be impaired.
Mr. Rockhold refused to do sobriety tests and was charged with and OVI refusal. He was taken to the Logan County Jail where he was held on the domestic violence charge filed by the Washington Township Police Department, deputies report.
