Joseph D. Giron, 34, of 1090 Heritage Court, was charged today with public intoxication, possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia. He also was served a warrant for possession of cocaine.
At 3:15 a.m., officers responded to Village Pantry, 200 E. Sandusky Ave., after an attendant reported the suspect was falling asleep at the counter.
He was unsteady on his feet and escorted out of the business. Officers recovered a hypodermic needle in one of his pants pockets and a small bag with heroin in other pocket. He also had a pipe for smoking marijuana.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
