Scott N. Montgomery, 44, of 2139 S. County Road 24, DeGraff,, was charged with disorderly conduct related to an incident Saturday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of his residence about 10:15 p.m. on a report of a domestic disturbance. While en route, deputies located Montgomery walking along the road and he said he would meet with deputies in the parking lot of Riverside Schools.
Montgomery told deputies that he and his wife had been in a dispute that evening and that she had struck him in the face. However, deputies did not observe any marks on his face consistent with his statement.
Deputies said Montgomery’s wife then arrived on the scene. She told deputies her husband had been shouting at her and getting in her face that evening. She said she did not strike him, but pushed him away when he got in her face.
During the course of the argument, his wife said Montgomery walked outside in the inclement weather and she became concerned for his well-being. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
