RHINOCK |
A Lakeview man was arrested early today after breaking into a woman’s locked home and confronting her in the living room.
Kara Rowe, 33, called authorities at 1:16 a.m. to report that Scot Rhinock, 47, of Lakeview, forced his way into the 129 Sunnyside Ave., Russells Point, home through two locked doors.
An officer of the Washington Township Police Department was dispatched and determined a burglary had occurred but the perpetrator was no longer present. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office also responded and helped set up a perimeter.
Mr. Rhinock was located approximately 200 yards from the residence hiding in a tree line. He attempted to flee but quickly learned there were more officers in the area and he had nowhere to go.
He was taken into custody without further incident and was lodged in the Logan County Jail on one second-degree felony count of burglary and a misdemeanor count of menacing.
