Combining two retail operations on opposite sides of State Route 117 puts Ohio Lumber Brick and Block in a position to expand its reach.

“Before, potential customers might go to across the street and not think about stopping here and vice versa,” said Assistant Manager Cole Lewis. “Now we can start a project from the ground up and sell our customers a whole house or building package.”
Ohio Lumber, owned and operated by Doug Bruns, purchased the Mr. Concrete Builders Supply, 9101 S.R. 117, in December, but work to consolidate the operations at 8890 S.R. 117 started in November.
Around 19,000 square feet in warehouse space was added and a 2,500-square-foot drive-in bay was closed up and turned into a showroom to display stone veneers, tile, kitchen cabinets, countertops, back splashes, pavers, windows and decking options.
The project nearly doubled the business’s square footage and more is on the way, Lewis said.
