Guest speakers from the American Farmland Trust will present a program on the Upper Scioto Watershed Study currently being conducted in Logan County and surrounding counties during an event from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Myeerah Nature Preserve, 7405 State Route 540, Bellefontaine.
The speaker will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the outdoor pavilion, and participants are encouraged to enjoy the trails and serenity of the nature preserve prior to the program. Light, pre-packaged refreshments will be available. Social distancing and masks are encouraged.
The research presented will directly affect and include the creeks and streams in the north and east sections of Logan County.
Community leaders, decision-makers, especially landowners, environmental and nature lovers interested in protecting local waters are encouraged to attend.
