The Southwest District of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio installed officers for 2022 at their annual Winter Conference, with Logan County Auditor Jack Reser installed as vice president of the organization.
The Honorable State Representative Jason Stephens served as the installation officer for the November ceremony.
In addition, Reser was selected to serve the County Auditor’s Association of Ohio in the capacity as member of Executive Steering committee of CAAO, Public Relations and Transparency and Weights and Measures committees.
“It is a privilege to serve in these areas supporting the local community with legislative initiatives and as a watch dog of the state treasury,” he said.
Reser has previously served the Logan County community as the president/CEO of the Logan County Chamber and Economic Development office, and as a former Logan County Commissioner and City of Bellefontaine Auditor. The combined experience 25 plus years of community leadership and elected offices has been a benefit to serving as the current Logan County Auditor.
The auditor’s areas of focus have included, “Efficiency, Accountability and Transparency.”
“I am proud to be the watch dog of the county treasury, my track record has been 10 clean audits with no findings and increased transparency with OhioCheckbook.com, where all expenditures are available for public review,” he said.
CAAO monitors legislative proposals that impact local taxpayers and to offer initiatives that assist county auditors in carrying out their duties. During 2022, the organization anticipates much activity with continuing changes in a variety of state and local tax issues and other legislative initiatives.
The CAAO includes all 88 Ohio County Auditors. It was established to promote and protect the interests of the taxpayers of Ohio and to improve the administration of county government.
