Two townships in Logan County took the first steps in prohibiting marijuana cultivation, processing and dispensing after a joint meeting Wednesday evening in East Liberty.
Members of the Zane Township Zoning Commission said they are planning to move in the direction of prohibiting, while Jefferson Township went a step further, voting on language to amend its zoning resolution and setting a tentative date for a public hearing.
Perry Township Zoning Commission, however, said they would like to study the issue further and planned a follow up meeting in January.
