Known as ohioconnect.com, the partnership of NetGain Information Systems, Logan County Electric Cooperative and the city of Bellefontaine has set up an online survey for city and county residents.
“It will help us determine where the demand is,” said Michael Minnich of NetGain, “and who gets broadband service first.
“Our plan is to get a wireless and wired project going by fall.”
Minnich, Mike Wilson with the co-op and Bellefontaine Mayor Ben Stahler rolled out the plan during the Logan County Community Improvement Corporation’s spring meeting at Mary Rutan Health Center, 1134 N. Main St.
Stahler emphasized that taking the survey does not commit anyone to signing up to a service. That opportunity will come later.
