A growing local healthcare provider received accreditation for its diabetes education program.
Community Health & Wellness Partners of Logan County, with offices north of West Liberty, at Russells Point and one opening soon in downtown Bellefontaine, recently received the cer- tification through the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
The comprehensive diabetes education program, taught by experienced diabetes educators, helps people with or at risk for diabetes learn skills needed to modify behavior and successfully manage the disease and its related conditions.
Pharmacist Jason Martinez and colleagues designed the health center’s diabetes education program to surround a patient with services provided by a dietitian, pharmacist, behavioral health professional and nursing staff.
