Triad senior Hadley LeVan broke the boys career scoring record Tuesday as the Cardinals dropped visiting Madison Plains 65-44 in an Ohio Heritage Conference basketball game.
LeVan hit a free throw with 1:30 left in the game to eclipse the previous record of 1,473 points set by Josh Hollar from 1995-1999.
LeVan finished with 25 points and now has a career total of 1,475 points.
