Larry “Oz” Jr. Alspaugh passed away at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1946, in Bellefontaine, to Lawrence Alspaugh and Elaine (Bishop) Alspaugh-Austin, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Mike Alspaugh, Jim “Ozzie” (Kristi) Alspaugh, Patience Alspaugh and Bethany Alspaugh; sister Kathy Alspaugh Brown, and beloved aunt Donna Huffman; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
A 1964 graduate of Buckeye Local School, he worked in the Glacier Daido maintenance department for 38 years until his retirement.
He was a long-standing member at the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and the Eagles. Oz enjoyed going to the clubs to sign the books and socialize with friends. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
A memorial service and visitation take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 U.S. Route 68 South, West Liberty. A private burial will be at a later date.
