Lakeview Village Council approved a new contract for patrol services with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office during a regular meeting Tuesday.
The new contract reflects a raise in the current 2016 rate of $28.50 to $29 per hour in 2017; to $29.60 in 2018; and to $30.30 in 2019. Officials said Stokes Township already has approved its part of the new contract it shares with the village.
Council adopted a measure adding a $50 fee for utility reconnection after 3:30 p.m. and passed a resolution to order the Logan County Auditor to add an additional tax lien on certain real estate taxes for collection for services rendered.
Quotes from Buschur Electric and Quality Paving were accepted. Buschur will install a generator to operate the new fire department and the electric storage building for $29,912.75; and Quality Paving will pave part of the electric storage building parking lot for $49,225, to be paid from the Electric Fund Capital Outlay account.
