Indian Lake’s boys and girls track and field teams opened the season with wins over Upper Scioto Valley and Ada in a tri-meet Monday.
The Lady Lakers were led by Addison Beck, who was first in the 100-meter dash (13.5), 200-meter dash (28.0), and long jump (15-0). Maddie Miller also scored two first-place finishes, winning the shot put (33-11) and discus (106-0). Also in first was Ava Faler in the pole vault (7-6), Reagan Rash in the 400 (1:04), KaiLea Miller in the 1,600 (6:33), Hannah Metzger in the 3,200 (14:10), the 400 relay (59.9), the 1,600 relay (4:44) and the 3,200 relay (11:37).
For the Laker boys, Quest Clay won the high
jump (5-6), long jump (18-11.5) and the 100 (11.6). Christoper Timms won both the shot put (45-8) and discus (151-9).
Other first-place finishers for the Lakers were Grant McPherson in the 400 (55.5), Tony Cummins in the 1,600 (5:43), Brody Parsell in pole vault (11-6), Gavin Henry in the 300 hurdles (45.7), the 4×200 relay (1:42) and the 4×400 relay (3:47).
The Lakers are back in action today at Bellefontaine.
