TROTWOOD — West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team on Tuesday used a second- half rally to avenge a regular-season loss to Greeneview and reach its third straight district title game.

The Tigers trailed by seven points in the third quarter before clawing back to beat the Rams 42-38 in a Division III sectional final at Trotwood-Madison High School.
WL-Salem (19-5) faces Cincinnati Summit Country Day (25-0) in the district championship Saturday at Springfield High School. The start time had not been announced at press time.
“We hit some big shots in the fourth quarter and we got locked in defensively,” said WLSalem head coach Dennis McIntosh. “We didn’t give them many good looks in the fourth quarter.”
