West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday as host Tippecanoe beat the Tigers 52-45 in a non-league contest.
The Tigers are now 9-1, while Tippecanoe improves to 6-1.
Allison Mader, who came into the game averaging 13 points, scored a game-high 32 to power the Red Devils.
The Tigers got off to a good start, outscoring the Red Devils 17-8 in the first quarter.
However, Tippecanoe cut the Tigers’ lead to three points (28-25) at halftime.
