Bellefontaine’s sotball team attempted a late comeback against visiting Sidney on Thursday, but came up short in an 11-8 non-league loss.

The Chiefs fall to 4-5 on the season and the Yellow Jackets move to 5-6.
Sidney struck first with four runs in the second inning.
Bellefontaine put three runs on the scoreboard in the third inning to get within a run at 4-3.
The Yellow Jackets drove in four more runs in the top of the fifth for an 8-3 lead, while the
Chiefs got a two-run home run from Hailee Price in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 8- 5.
Sidney increased its lead to 9-5 with a run in the sixth inning and the Yellow Jackets scored two more times in the top of the seventh for an 11-5 advantage.
