James J. Stratton, 40, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, lot C3, Zanesfield, was charged with domestic violence relatedto an incident Sunday in Belle Center.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 112 E. Main St., Belle Center, about 5 p.m.in reference to a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, they found that Stratton had a knot near his right eye and was bleeding from his hands. He told deputies that a female party at the home attacked him with a mirror. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
However, when deputies spoke with the woman, she told deputies that the pair had been in an argument and that Stratton had been drinking. She said he took mirrors and smashed them over his head, and then threatened that she would “go to jail for it.”
She stated he then forced his way into a bedroom. He allegedly stood over top of her, putting his hands over her mouth and made threats against her.
He was transported to the Logan
County Jail.
Teen charged with disorderly conduct
Lynzy Manning, 16, of 226 W. Miami St., DeGraff, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following an incident Saturday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to her address about 3:45 p.m. on a report of the teen running away from the home.
When they arrived at the residence, Lynzy had returned home.
Her grandfather advised that Lynzy was aware she was not permitted to leave the home following recent disciplinary issues.
The teen would not comply with deputies’ commands when she was placed under arrest and required an additional unit to respond to the scene. She was lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
