Kerry Alan Buchenroth, 68, Lewistown, passed away at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on August 16, 1953, a son of the late Joe E. and Ethel Mae (Hurley) Buchenroth.
On December 26, 1971, Kerry married the former Kim Elain Griffiths in Adrian, Michigan, and she survives, along with their two children, Kelly Buchenroth, and Kaci (D.Rea) King; four grandchildren, Madi King, Austin King, Kolt Buchenroth, and Kody Buchenroth; four siblings, Bonnie (Dwight) Hansen, Cindy (Jack) Beuschlein, Susie (Eric) Whetsel, and Steve (fiancé Robin Brandewie) Buchenroth; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his brother, Kris (KT) Buchenroth.
Kerry had worked at Honda of America for 10 years prior to starting West Ohio Tool Co. on November 11, 1989. He started the business with a desire to truly help others. Kerry was a troubleshooter, and a great mentor who believed in honesty and integrity. He loved life and enjoyed traveling, visiting national parks, old cars, and especially spending time with his family and dog “Benji.”
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Per Kerry’s request, there will be no memorial service following visitation. It is requested that any guests attending visitation be symptom free.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
