Kay C. Clark Robinson, formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, at the age of 80.
She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Samuel L. Robinson; cherished mother of Craig (Sonal) Robinson of Wadsworth; devoted grandmother of Andrew and Rachael Robinson of Wadsworth; loving sister of Kathy (the late Richard) Murphy of Unionville, Mo., Thomas Clark of Chicago, Ill., Annette (Derek) Yoshikawa of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Tammy (Roger) Cassidy of Unionville, Mo.; and dear aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Kay was very involved in everything she did. She taught first- and second-grade students in a one-room schoolhouse in St. Johns, Mich. She taught home economics for both junior high students in Grand Rapids, Mich., and high school students in King City, Calif. She was a real estate agent in Cincinnati and was also the county extension agent with Michigan State University, where she was the coordinator for more than 500 4-H clubs. She was a member of Kenwood Country Club and the Dyslexia Association, where her love of reading drew her to become a tutor, and she was very involved in PEO. Kay enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing bridge, world-wide traveling and music.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church, 8000 Miami Ave., Madiera, where she was a member for more than 20 years, and where a memorial service begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27.
