Kathy E. Watkins, 61, of Bellefontaine, OH, passed away peacefully at her home outside of Bellefontaine, OH on Friday evening, August 20, 2021.
Kathy was born on December 15, 1959, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Paul and Barbara Ann Gearhardt Burton. She married W.R. “Bud” Watkins II on December 19, 1986, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2019.
She is survived by three stepsons, Jonathan (Rebekah) Watkins of Sidney, Andrew (Emily) Watkins of Hamilton, and Daniel (Sara) Watkins of Monroe, eight grandchildren: Thomas (Destiny) Watkins, Jake (Katie) Watkins, Aleesha (Zayvier) Benjamin, Kaileigh Watkins, Gracie Watkins, Claire Watkins, Ellie Watkins, and Clayton Watkins. six great-grandchildren: Remi, Greyson, Hayes, Layla, Hadley, and Marcellus, five siblings, Michael D. Burton of Missouri, Phillip “Tom” (Tammy) Burton, and Ronald W. (Valerie) Burton, both of Bellefontaine, Donald L. (Camille) Burton of Huntsville, and Alan (Kerri) Burton of Las Vegas, NV, and several nieces and nephews including Josh Warren, Charice Little, Angie Miranda, Stacey McLaughlin, Dana Krajcik, and Steffie Webb.
Kathy was a 1978 graduate of Indian Lake High School. She owned and operated Razz-M-Tazz Studios since 1992. And worked previously at Hilliker Corporate Office in Bellefontaine. Kathy had many accomplishments for herself and students at Razz-M-Tazz including an invitation and performance at the Rose Bowl halftime show, several awards at national competitions including Disney World where she won “Choreographer of the Year” in 2005. She was also a judge for Twirling Unlimited. Kathy was a past Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star at Indian Lake and served as a Rainbow Girl for many years. She also served for 24 years as advisor for Benjamin Logan High School Flag Corps and Majorettes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Logan County Cancer Society Relay for Life, c/o Mary Rutan Hospital.
Jonathan Watkins will begin Graveside services at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Huntsville Cemetery.
