Karen S. Longstreth, 78, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
Karen was born on June 16, 1943, in Kenton, OH, a daughter of the late Floyd and Freda Yeazel Kanzig. She married Gary D. Longstreth on June 3, 1995, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2020. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, William “Bill” G. Kanzig and Nancy Coats.
Karen is survived by six children, Bruce Cannode and Tim (Carol) Wiley, both of Lakeview, Gabrielle (Andrew) Kaczar of Fort Hood, TX, Kathy (Michael) Rutter of Fort Recovery, OH, Kim (Mike) Hanjora of Spencerville, OH, and Kelly Longstreth of Columbus, OH, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two siblings, Donald “Gene” Kanzig of Ariton, AL, and Harriet V. Whitaker of Kenton, sisters/brother-in-law, Marletta Kanzig of Ada, OH and Shirley (Phil) Bradshaw of Elgin, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was a 1961 graduate of Kenton High School. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and watching her hummingbirds. Karen was a generous person and helped those she saw in need.
