June Louise White, 94, of West Liberty, passed away Jan. 25, 2020 in Columbus.
June enjoyed many years as a teacher, and after retirement began transcribing books into Braille for the blind and teaching sign language. June was involved in Eastern Star and spent three terms as Grand Matron, and one term as Worthy Grand Matron. With all of her activities, June was most known for her desire to help others.
June was born to Charles and Grace Brumbaugh in North Canton, Ohio, June 17, 1925. She is survived by her sons Ray (Cathy) White of Layton, Utah, and Glenn White of Oakdale, California; daughter, Debbie Moody of Mustang, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Steve Swartz of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous friends at Green Hills.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert White; daughter, Frances Swartz; sisters, Eileen Elliott and Helen Hannah; brothers, Eugene Brumbaugh and Dale Brumbaugh; and son-in-law, Scott Moody.
There will be a celebration of life for June at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at Green Hills Foundation Hall.
