Logan County Family Court Judge Kim Kellogg-Martin, left, is sworn in for her second six-year term Monday morning by fellow Logan County Family Court Judge Dan W. Bratka, right, at the second floor courtroom of the Logan County Courthouse. Her husband of 40 years, Jeff Martin, holds the Bible for the ceremony. Judge Kellogg-Martin thanked all of her staff for their efforts during the past year and said it was through their determination that they have been able to maintain in-person operations during the pandemic. “This has been one of the hardest years I’ve ever worked,” she said. “Despite a number of courts around the state that have been closed during the pandemic, my staff told me, ‘We want to be open and we don’t want to just working from home behind a computer screen.’ I’m so thankful for their dedication so that we can continue serving the children and families of this community.” She also expressed appreciation to Judge Bratka for his longtime service, noting his retirement is approaching at the end of this month.
