Joseph William Rose, age of 53, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2024, in his home.
Joseph was born on February 22, 1971, in Springfield, Ohio to George and Jeri (Dever) Rose. He graduated from West Liberty Salem in 1989 and worked as HTM at Honda for 28 years.
Joseph was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a dedicated 37th Airborne Engineer at Fort Bragg. During his time in the military, he served in Desert Storm.
A true fitness enthusiast, Joseph found joy in the challenge of CrossFit and the camaraderie of his running community. His 5K friends meant the world to him. Joseph also loved to travel. He would always enjoy his trips with Bill and Steph. It was when he lived in South Carolina for a few years where he met many that became lifelong friends. Joseph cherished his friendships. He often loved going dancing and having a good time.
He was a reading freak. His idea of good plans…was spending hours at Barnes and Noble. Most of all, he loved his family. Joseph would always spoil his nieces and nephews at Christmas with every noisy thing he could find and of course books.
Joseph is survived by his father, George Rose; sister, Sallie (Scott) Workman; nephews, Casey (Courtney) Gannon, Corey (Katlyn) Gannon, Tanner Workman; great-nieces and nephews, Collin, Coralyn and Curtis Gannon, Sophia and Rylie Gannon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Bill and Steph Frazee, and the Mills Family from South Carolina.
A special thanks to Hailey and Bob from Hospice.
