Joseph Michael “Poncho” Brown, 58, of Urbana, passed away June 4, 2018, at The Ohio State university Wexner Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 24, 1959, to the late Clarence Robert “Brownie” and Marjorie Ferryman Brown.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Jim Burnham, Marvin “Pete” Burnham; sister, Martha Burnham Schultz; nephews, Shawn Burnham, Jeffery Allen Burnham; nieces, Cathy Staffan Glassburn and Penny Landis; brother-in-law, Clet Staffan; sister- in-law, Jeri Bumgardner Burnham; and best friend, John Deere.
Poncho is survived by his wife, Debbie Ball Brown; his children, Tara Brown, Josh Brown, Ashley Wolf and Andy Wolf; grandchildren, Connor Joshua, Cameron Michael and Draven Scott Brown; the mother of his children, Tami Keran Brown; Tami’s father, Ernest “Scotty” Scott; Tami’s aunt, Junie Powell, who were very special friends to Poncho; sister-in-law, Judy Smith; best friend, Rusty Shafer; brother, Richard “Dick” Burnham of London; sisters, Connie Staffan of Russells Point, Betty Weaver of North Lewisburg, Jeri (Aleta) Brown of London, Mona (Bill) Detrick of West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
Poncho graduated from West Liberty-Salem School in 1980 and retired in 2014 from Honda of America Mfg. in Marysville after 30 years of service. At his request his body has been cremated. The family will have a celebration of life from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the Mad River Farm Market, 7538 U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.
