John Vernon Baldwin, 67, of Shelton WA, formerly of Russells Point, OH passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his home after a two-year battle with cancer.
John was born on April 7, 1955, in Kenton, OH, a son of the late Billy Vernon Baldwin and Kathryn Irene Gibson Baldwin. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trinity Baldwin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Cats Baldwin, whom he married January 1, 2000, three children, Josh (Julie Schrader) Baldwin of Lakeview, OH, Teasha (Ryan) Shoffstall of Lakeview, and David (Tiffany) Baldwin of Canton, SD, five stepchildren, Jacquie (Scott) MacAlevy of Shelton, Jason (Maria) Staley of Bethlehem, GA, Jeremy Staley of Brookston, IN, Misti (Calvin Bledson) Campbell of Prattville, AL, and Stasha Hickey of Lancaster, OH, six grandchildren, Chase and Carly Baldwin, Ella and Kail Shoffstall, and Jackson and Matthew Baldwin, 10 step-grandchildren, Harrison, Laynie, Cameron, Braden, Sadie, and Ruby MacAlevy, Emma, Gunner, Gage, and Gideon Staley, one sister, Karen (James) Black of Mt. Victory, OH, two nieces and his canine companion, Rusty.
John was a 1973 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a longtime employee of Belletech and retired in 2011. John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, and golfing. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Seattle Seahawks.
Per his wishes, no services will be observed at this time.
