Jennifer S. Penhorwood, 62, of West Mansfield, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at her home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1952, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Elwood Allison and Claraellen Hague James. She also was preceded in death by her brother, John H. James; and mother-in-law, Norma Richardson.
On May 26, 2001, she married Richard “Rick” Penhorwood and he survives, along with her children, Melissa Berry of Piqua, Brandy Bower of Bellefontaine, Greg Wirick of Kettering, Dustin Hawkins of Zanesfield and Sierra (Ronnie) Morgan of Delaware; sister, Amy Simpson of Marysville; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Doug (Rosie) Penhorwood, Lisa (Jim) Boren, Roxanne (Rick) Steinke, Vicky Ricketts and Sonya Banta; and father-in-law, Dr. Calvin T. Richardson.
A graduate of West Liberty High School, she worked at HBD for 18 years. Her hobbies included spending time with family and friends, cooking, writing and poetry.
Pastor Walt Mansfield officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is two hours prior. Internment is in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
