The management of Zanesfield’s Hall-Fawcett Park will remain unchanged after the Jefferson Township Trustees voted unanimously Monday to reject an offer to take ownership of the park.
The Zanesfield Area Chamber of Commerce, which owns the park land, voted recently to turn ownership of the 13.4-acre park over to a public entity.
The chamber first approached the village of Zanesfield, which voted to reject the offer a week prior.
Members of the Logan Hills Festival Association, the group that manages the park under lease with the chamber of commerce, said they were pleased with the decision of both public bodies and said they want to continue the arrangement as it now exists.
