Jeff Yelton, 55, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 13, 1960, to Robert Lewis and Donna Jean Bishop Yelton. Jeff was preceded in death by his father; brother, William “Bill” Yelton; and his wife of 36 years, Elizabeth Jane Horne Yelton, on Oct. 13, 2015.
Jeff is survived by his children, Jeremy (Nikki) Yelton of East Liberty, April Yelton, Misty Yelton and Tina (Brandon) Rutherford, all of Bellefontaine; 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia, Parker, Brooke, Kaydence, Chassy, Sunny, Skylar, Mason and Maddix; one great-grandchild, Zentley; his mother, Donna Jean Yelton of Bellefontaine; siblings, Mike Yelton, Rick (Glenna Lee) Yelton and Charlie Yelton, all of Bellefontaine, Jimmy (Emily) Yelton of Belle Center and Patti (Mark) Osborne of DeGraff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeff was the owner/operator of Jeff’s Welding for many years. He enjoyed his daily visits with Glen Newland at the Waffle House.
Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where Pastor Tony Coy officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
