Jean Marie Miller, age 69, of Troy, finished her race and ran to the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at her residence after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer. She was born on June 9, 1952, in Troy, OH, to the late Luther Daniel and Thelma Louise (Hume) Pugalee.
Jean is survived by her husband: Gerald Miller; two children: Tracy (Matt) Detwiler of West Liberty and Jesse (Brandy) Todd of Belle Center; four grandchildren: Lexi Detwiler, Madi Detwiler, Gracie Todd and Aidan Todd; five step-children: Lance (Jessica) Miller of Tipp City; Star Miller of Troy; Hannah Miller of Troy; Julianna Miller of Troy and Isabella (Seth) Johnson of AZ; step grandchildren: TJ and Savannah Murray, and Oliver Johnson; and seven sisters: Lita Zeller of Troy, Kathleen Neves of Celina, Sandy (Mike) Reier of Sidney and Linda Stafford, Carol (Mark) Hennessey, Diana Pugalee and Tina (James) Riddle, all of Troy. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by two brothers: Steven Michael Pugalee and Daniel Luther Pugalee; brothers-in-law: Robert Zeller and Edward Neves; and step-son: Rob E. Miller.
Jean was a 1972 graduate of Troy High School. She retired from Honda just one month short of 27 years. Jean was a long time member of Only Believe Ministries in Botkins, where she served on the Nursing Home Ministry and Altar team. Mimi enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies, watching their sports activities, cheering, dancing and showing livestock. Jean was a Cincinnati Bengals fan. She enjoyed shopping days with Pastor Phyllis. Jean’s mission in life was to ensure that everyone knew Jesus and would spend eternity with her in heaven.
Funeral service was at noon Wednesday, April 6, at Only Believe Ministries in Botkins with Pastor Nicole Waters officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. The family received friends Wednesday at the church.
