Jean A. Downey, 69, of Marysville passed away Friday morning, Sept. 14, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
She was a long-time member of the Old Union Church of Christ and was a person who lived her faith. She entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, surrounded by her family. Jean enjoyed traveling, but especially cherished her family andthe time spent with them.
A native of Logan County, She was a 1967 graduate of Ben LoganHigh School and received a licensed practical nursing degree in 1969 at Clark State in Springfield.
Jean was born April 23, 1949, in Bellefontaine to the late John R. and Lois May Crevison Reynolds. She married David E. Downey Dec. 4, 1971, in the Rushsylvania Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, David; their son David Alan; siblings, Karen S. (Vic) Wilcoxon, Beverly K. (Steve) Langstaff, Barbara L. (Gene) Hunt, William J. (Cheryl) Reynolds and Robert A. (Shirley) Reynolds; several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Ingram Funeral Home in Marysville, following calling hours that begin at noon. The Rev. Fred Bowman officiates and burial will be held at a later date in Broadway Cemetery.
