Janet Sue Bailey, 75, of East Liberty, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 31, 2021, unexpectedly at the Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Janet was born December 29,1945, in Kenton, to the late Horace and Crystal (Morris) Wagner. June 20, 1970, in East Liberty, she married Frank W. Bailey.
Janet was a graduate of Logan Hills High School in 1963 and a graduate of Frederick School of Cosmetology in 1964.
She was a beautician for 57 years and made many friends a long the way. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, bowling, painting, puzzles, visiting her close neighbors but most of all spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook/baker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt nanny. We will miss all her love and ability to make us laugh.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years; Her daughters, Terri (Jeff) Zimmer of Bellefontaine, and Diane (Andrew) Winters of Rushsylvania; grandkids, Adyson and Draven Winters; siblings, Sandy Smith of Bonaparte, IA, David (Jacquie) Wagner of Mansfield, Judy Lenhart of Bellefontaine, and Rita (Phil) Metz of Bellefontaine. A brother-in law Phil (Kathy) Bailey of Bellefontaine, and a sister-in law Shirley McDonald of Mechanicsburg. An aunt June Roberts of Bellefontaine, an uncle Roger (Marlene) Wagner of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, several brother in-laws, sister in-laws, aunts, uncles and nephews.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
