On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Jane Gruber went to be in the arms of her loving savior.
She was born on October 6, 1934, to John Arthur Peterson and Esther Grasekamp Peterson in Paterson, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester, and her son, John Henry Jr. (Hank) Sundburg.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Sundburg of Lakeview, Ohio, her son, Eric (Nancy) Sundburg of Fort Myers, Florida, daughter-in-law, Linda Sundburg of Lakeview, Ohio,
a stepson, Jerry Gruber, three stepdaughters, Kathleen Spriggs, Karen Gruber Powers, and Carol Ginski, two brothers, Donald Peterson, and John (Linda) Peterson, 16 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved her furry animals. You could find her in the kitchen cooking or outside gardening and mowing. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading. She had a passion for working with her son, Hank, at the Pontoon Man. She was employed at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Central Processing for the 20 years. She was a member of the Indian Lake Moose #1533 and Indian Lake Eagles Aeries #3615. A special thank you to the staff of Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion.
Reverend Bryan Meadows will begin funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, Findlay, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center or Logan County Cancer Society c/o Mary Rutan Hospital.
