Jane Anne Oakley, 76, of Santa Fe, OH passed away Monday morning, July 25, 2022, in the Emergency Room at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima, OH.
Jane was born on April 2, 1946, in New Hampshire, OH to the late Raymond R. and Ferrol R. Campbell Davis. On December 30, 1978, she married Dean A. Oakley, Sr. and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Cummins, Jean Goble, and Joan Gratz, five brothers, Herman Davis, Ronnie Davis, Richard Davis, Dean Davis and Robert Davis, and a grandson, Kyle Ferryman.
Jane is survived by eight children, Lisa Mullins of Cridersville, OH, Joe Ferryman of Santa Fe, Scott (Monica Place) Ferryman of Wapakoneta, OH, Tracy (Kenny) Smith of Versailles, OH, Amy (Matthew) Schott of Coldwater, OH, Dean (Mandy) Oakley, Jr. of Lakeview, OH, Nicole (Joe) Hurley of Huntsville, OH, and Deanna (John) Schipper of Santa Fe, 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Pat Cummins and Sue Jeanneret, both of Wapakoneta, and three brothers, Don Davis of Lakeview, Roger Davis, and Ned Davis, both of Wapakoneta, and several nieces and nephews.
Jane loved taking care of her dogs, Maggie and Miley, and making sure they didn’t go hungry. She enjoyed and took pride in her flowers in spring and summer and her mums in the fall. She enjoyed putting together puzzles, doing word searches, Jumble, and Suduko. She had a love for sports and her favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Indian Lake Lakers. She was a loving mother and enjoyed nothing more than when her kids came over for Sunday night dinners and every holiday.
Reverend Bryan Meadows will begin funeral services at 11:00 am, Friday, July 29, 2022, at Grace Chapel Christian Union Church in Santa Fe. Visitation is Thursday, July 28th from 5-8 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, and Friday from 10-11 am at the Church. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.
