James M. “Mike” Day, 65, of Bellefontaine passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Mike was born March 13, 1954, in Bellefontaine to James F. Day and Rheta M. (Robinaugh) Emrick. On Dec. 2, 1972 in Rushsylvania he married Anita Marie Parmer.
Mike enjoyed music, movies, going out to eat and bowling in his younger years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mike could be known as a little bit of a talker who never knew a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Anita M. Day; daughters, Kelly M. (Darin) Vermillion and Angie R. (Jon) Hamilton; grandchildren, Jordan S. Vermillion, Jascey D. Vermillion, Kylee N. Stidam and Justin D. Stidam; great-grandchildren, Reese D. Stidam, Tayvion J. Mundy and Ensley M. Stidam; parents, James F. (Lois) Day and Rheta M. Emrick; siblings, Ranae Tracey, Terry (Debbie) Kipker, Todd Kipker and Tim Day; many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Bellefontaine Cemetery following the funeral service.
