James C. Bodi, 76, of Belle Center, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 9, 2019, at his home.
Jim was born in Toledo on March 23, 1943 to the late Thomas John Edward and Cora Eleanor (Gillenwaters) Bodi. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Peggy Sue Bodi; sister-in-law, Karen Tschudy; and brother-in-law, George Mohn.
Jim is survived by his wife, Susan (Mohn) Bodi, whom he married in 1984. He is also survived by sons Tom (Betty) Bodi of Huntsville, and Chad Mohn of Shelby; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Eleanor Peters of West Liberty, John (Carol) Bodi of Lima, William Bodi of Roundhead, and Janet Doss of Lakeview; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Gloria (Kevin) Skidmore of Belle Center, and Sharon Mohn of Kenton; a brother-in-law John Tschudy of Sevierville, Tenn.; and Jim’s four-legged buddy, Chance. Jim worked as a butcher at Logan Packing, Sturgis, S&G Meats, and most recently at Stemble’s. He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. Jim was proud to be a Donald Trump supporter. Jim’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
