Amber M. Mathews, 30, of 413 E. Sandusky Ave., was arrested Tuesday on warrants for two counts of trafficking in drugs.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department was at the Logan County Jail around 7:35 p.m. on another matter and observed her in the visitation area to talk with inmate George Prater, who was held on charges including trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin.
She was taken into custody and was lodged in jail.
• Kaitlyn S. Klaas, 23, of 628 Cooper Ave.: Champaign County warrant for a probation violation;
• Natasha L. Warner, 28, of 402 E. Columbus Ave.: failure to appear; and
• John W. Anderson Jr., 54, of 413 Walker St.: probation violation.
Motorist cited in injury crash
Dillon Travis Harrison, 18, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after a crash on Main Street at Washington Avenue around 3:10 p.m. Monday.
He was driving a northbound car that struck the rear of a car operated by Linda M. Stevens, 68, of Urbana. Ms. Stevens was transported from the scene with incapacitating injuries by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital.
The Stevens car was knocked into a sport utility vehicle operated by Tamara K. Johnson, 50, of Russells Point. She was transported by a private vehicle to MRH for treatment of possible injuries.
The Johnson vehicle barely hit the rear of a pickup truck operated by David I. Monnin, 26, of Bellefontaine. There was no damage to the pickup; moderate damage to the Harrison vehicle and Johnson vehicles; and heavy damage to the Stevens car.
