Jacqueline “Jackie Z” Cayot, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at her residence.
She was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on Aug. 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Robert Cabi and Jeannette Pervitch Cabi Akman.
She married Richard Glen “Dick” Cayot and he preceded her in death Nov. 7, 2011.
She is survived by a son, Arthur (Bonny) Taylor of Hubert, N.C., and a daughter, Christine Taylor of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six stepchildren, Kathy Gehrett and Mike (Ann) Cayot, both of Bluffton, Ind., Linda (Gary) Stoffel Yvonne and (Jeff) Brown, both of Huntington, Ind., Steve (Kim) Cayot of West Liberty and Clark (Lisa) Cayot of Richwood; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jackie Z was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine and volunteered with the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild for many years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation and enjoyed traveling.
Father Shawn Landenwitch celebrates a Mass of Christian Burial at noon Friday, March 2, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E Patterson Ave., Bellefontaine, Visitation is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
