Jacob Alan Lewis, brother, son, friend, age 21, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday evening, July 21, 2021, in Clark County due to a car accident.
Jacob was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 8, 1999. He was a kind, gentle, loving, compassionate person, and was always willing to help others.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Ted A. and Deann K. (Drake) Lewis of Bellefontaine; five siblings: Daniel F. Lewis of Bellefontaine, Emily France of Kettering, Matthew House of Cincinnati, Jason A. (Sara) Lewis of Marysville, and Thomas P. Lewis of Clovis, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; grandfather William F. Drake of Springfield; and special friend Alex Lindstrom of Bellefontaine and formerly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother Sandra L. Drake and an aunt Tanya Holstein.
A 2018 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Jacob had been working at Subway on South Main St. He had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. Jacob enjoyed Civil War re-enactments and loved to spend time on his computer gaming.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where Pastor Matt Sandlin will officiate the funeral service at 4 p.m.
